ABS-CBN actress Francine Diaz is teaming up with South Korean actor Seo In-guk for a new single titled “My Love.”

The announcement was made over the weekend at Diaz’s 20th birthday celebration and concurrent press conference for the new track. A few weeks ago, the actress teased the collaboration with an Instagram video that was captioned, “See you next month, My Love!” Seo In-guk revealed to ABS-CBN that talks for the collaboration started after the actor met Diaz’s manager. He then asked if Diaz would be interested in singing with him for a future song together.

“My Love” was originally released by Seo In-guk in 2022, with rapper Ravi as the featured artist. He confirmed to PhilStar Life that the rap section in the original release of the song will be replaced with a singing section from the actress. As of today (January 29), no release date or further details have been announced. Watch this space for more updates.

Diaz rose to mainstream fame with her role in the television series, Kadenang Ginto. She went on to star in the critically-acclaimed series Dirty Linen and Fracture. On the other hand, aside from his breakout role in Reply 1997, Seo In-guk is known for his participation in Doom At Your Service, Café Minamdang, and Death’s Game.

The original Instagram teaser was posted in collaboration with a Lee Gunae, where in a previous post with Diaz, she wrote, “My baby Francine Diaz. We are always there and [w]e love you. Let’s continue to be there [sic] and be happier. I am very lucky to know you.”
