As a promo for “Extraction 2,” Derek Ramsay has teamed up with Chris Hemsworth to parody the former’s iconic 2014 anti-piracy advertisement.
Docking in the Philippines to promote his newest Netflix film “Extraction 2,” Hemsworth is seen in the nearly two-minute clip assisting Ramsey in catching another culprit that happened to enter his room. Ramsey echoed the familiar “Pare, pulis ako” and shared a fist bump with the “God of Thunder” before bidding him farewell in Tagalog.
Apart from the limited speaking dialogue, the clip featured cheeky references to the familiar fallen tomatoes and high speed on-foot chase. Since its June 19 upload, the YouTube video has amassed over 1.5 million views across Netflix Philippines’ social media channels.
Both Ramsey and Hemsworth were spotted on the star-studded Asia-Pacific red carpet in Manila last June 5, marking Hemsworth’s first visit to the country.
Extraction 2 is now streaming on Netflix.
