He is a South Korean Singer, actor and television host. He is best known as a member of K-pop boy band Super Junior and its sub-groups, Super Junior-M and Super Junior-K.R.Y. He is also one of the first four Korean artists to appear on Chinese postage stamps.

Kyuhyun has only one sister, Cho Ara. Kyuhyun’s father is in the education business and owns a school. Kyuhyun’s mother also runs an art academy and a cafe. Kyuhyun was initially urged to study law and would have been a lawyer had he not become a singer. His original plans were abandoned once Kyuhyun joined a band in high school, where he became more interested in music and singing. His father was against his dream of singing but allowed him to do so if he did well on his college entrance exams and was accepted into a university. Kyuhyun graduated from Kyunghee University with a major in Post-Modern Music.

He first debuted with Super Junior at 2006 along with the launching of their first single album, U. He was the last or the 13th member who joined Super Junior, so the fans from China gave him a nickname Xiao Shi San (Little Thirteen). He was appeared in news broadcast at May 23rd 2006 and offiially debuted at May 27th 2006 at SBS I Concert.

As the main vocal of Super Junior along with his fellow member, Yesung and Ryeowook, they were joined as a sub group Super Junior – K.R.Y (The acronime of their name). They sing ballad songs and some OST. At 2008, He was joined as the member of another sub-group, Super Junior – M which specialized in singing Mandarin song to gain Super Junior’s popularity in China.

Kyuhyun also launched solo tracks as the Original Soundtrack of some Korean Dramas. His first solo track was “Listen to You”, an OST for Korean drama titled Pasta. He also joined SM ballad project group called SM THE BALLAD along with SHINee Junghyun, TRAX Jay and one trainee Jino.

In the early morning of April 19th 2007, He involved in an accident with his fellow member in Super Junior, Leeteuk, Eunhyuk, Shindong and two of their manager. They were getting home after DJing at SUKIRA. He got the worst injury and made him hospitalized for about five months. The doctor told his parent that they need to repair his injured lungs but they have to make a hole at his neck. His father who against him the most when he wanted to be a singer, didn’t let the doctor to do that because it will make his dream ruined. Then, a chinese doctor came and give a better solution not to make a whole at his neck.

As time goes, now he become a great singer, and also had starring Musicals, “The Three Muskeeters” as D’Artagnan and at “Catch Me If You Can” as Frank Abagnale Jr. He also becomes a permanent host at MBC Radio Star along with Kim Gura and the others.
