Groupies and fans are two different phenomena. A rock band fan settles with an autograph from his or her favorite music idol and smiles at it. However, a groupie wants more than just an autograph. The concept of groupies actually came into the spotlights in the 60s. Those were the golden ages of pop music and its modifications into the 70s.
