Ely Buendia victimised by death hoax again

The rock singer dismisses the rumours online, says he will tell everybody when he actually dies

7 Feb - Filipino rock legend Ely Buendia has recently denied the latest fake news about his death.

As reported on FHM, the death hoax went viral back on 6 February, when fans began sharing a fake ABS-CBN news blog with the headline, "BREAKING NEWS: Ely Buendia found dead inside a car in Tagaytay".

The article stated that the Eraserheads frontman was found dead inside his car in Tagaytay, Cavite at around 4pm before he was set to perform with his band Apartel at Tagaytay Art Beat 2.

The singer just performed at the said venue back on Saturday, 4 February.

Buendia shared the said article online to prove that he is still alive and well, and wrote, "Here is my latest death hoax. If ever I actually die, I'll let you know."

This is not the first time Buendia was victimised by a death hoax. He was also reported to have died back in 2008 and 2011.
