I’m back again with yet another installment in my opinionated profiles series, and today we’re ranking and commenting on my third favorite girl group, Miss A! Miss A debuted in 2010 and are managed by JYP Entertainment.
4. Min
Birth name: Lee Min Young
Stage name: Min
Birthday: June 21, 1991
Official height: 161 cm
Position: Lead Vocalist, Main Dancer
Comment: Choosing someone to put last here was incredibly hard, because I adore all these girls in completely different ways. And I love Min, so please don’t think otherwise, it’s just that someone has to be last.
Min’s personality is one of the main reasons why I love her. She’s silly, adorable and just all around incredibly charming. I also have a habit of favoring kpop idols who speak English (because it makes them seem slightly less distant, I guess) so she gets some points for that too.
While not being my type exactly, Min is very cute. She has very small lips and a small nose, but big eyes which gives her a very cute look. Her being short also adds to the overall cuteness. So while not being my personal cup of tea, Min’s adorable.
To be honest I was surprised that Min’s not the main vocalist. I’ve always found her voice the most interesting and memorable, so I find it quite strange.
Her dancing’s great. I’m not sure if I think she or Jia’s the better dancer, but they’re both great.
3. Suzy

Stage name: Suzy
Birthday: October 10, 1994
Official height: 168 cm
Position: Main Vocalist, Lead Rapper, Maknae, Face of the Group
Comment: While I’ve never truly gotten why Suzy is so beloved in Korea, she most certainly hasn’t earned the hate her popularity has gotten her from international fans. While I’m not as crazy about her as some are, I do really like Suzy, and I can’t fathom what she’s done to earn all the hate she gets.
As I said before, I’m slightly shocked that Suzy’s the main vocalist and not Min, but oh well, what does those titles mean anyway? Suzy’s voice is nice and sweet and while she never blows me away it’s still a pleasant voice to listen to.
I’m even more shocked that she’s Miss A’s lead rapper, since I can’t remember hearing any song from them where she raps.
Miss A is a great dance group but Suzy is definitely the weak link. Her dancing isn’t that bad technically, but besides that she’s not very good. It’s pretty evident that she didn’t start dancing until in her later years.
Suzy is a dork, and I love her for it, as I love all dorky kpop idols. It just makes her more interesting.
To be honest, Suzy was probably my least favorite member of Miss A before I watched ‘Dream High’. She wasn’t an astounding actress or anything like that, but something about her performance touched me, and now I like her a lot more than before.
Suzy is very pretty, which is probably one of the main reasons for her enormous popularity. But while I see the prettiness, I’ve always thought there was something slightly plain to her, like she’s just a beautiful girl next door. That’s probably yet another thing Korea loves her for, but it doesn’t enamor me.
2. Jia
Birth name: Meng Jia
Stage name: Jia
Birthday: February 3, 1989
Official height: 164 cm
Position: Vocalist, Main Rapper, Lead Dancer
Comment: While I know that Miss A doesn’t have a leader, I will forever think of Jia as the leader. I’m not sure if I might have made Jia a lot cooler in my head, but to me she’s one of the coolest females in all of kpop. Not really sure why, it’s just my poorly based opinion.
As I said, I’m not sure whose dancing I prefer out of Jia and Min, but they’re both excellent. Miss A is overall my favorite kpop girl group when it comes to dance.
Jia is one of my absolute favorite female rappers in all of kpop. She hits it well, live too, and her flow is nice. She’s probably the most girl-power-oozing member of Miss A, and I love that.
To me, Jia is the least physically gorgeous member, at least face wise. That said, she has a much more interesting look than most girls in kpop, and that’s great. Kpop has a desperate need for diversity.
1. Fei
Birth name: Wang Fei Fei
Stage name: Fei
Birthday: April 27, 1987
Official height: 164 cm
Position: Lead Vocalist
Comment: Fei is probably the girl I’m crushing on the most ever, though possibly rivaled by CL. I find her to be absolutely insanely perfectly gorgeous. Like, damn. To me, she’s the most beautiful girl in all of kpop. You can disagree with me all you want on that, but that’s my opinion.
Her dancing and singing are both perfectly acceptable, no problem.
I really don’t have much to say about this alluring creature. I love her for reasons I don’t know and I both kind of want to be with her and want to be her.

Top of the Kpops 
I’ve always liked Miss A’s image, they’re not overly cutesy or sexy, but just down right classy with a dab of purity. They’re independent but not yet fierce, strong yet gentle, the messages in their music tell girls to be proud of who they are and take strong stands in relationships. I feel like they can be big sisters to their fans, don’t know if that make sense lol.
Min and Suzy are adorable, Gia has a bit of a tougher side but she’s shy too. And Fei, I LOVE Fei, she’s gorgeous, she’s funny, she’s down to earth, she can cook, I would love to be her best friend. haha
I agree with everything you say. Miss A is definitely one of the groups with an image that I truly love. It almost feels like it’s not an image at all, like it’s just who they are.
Haha yes I love Fei too! As you will have read… She’s just amazing.
miss A the only girl group, actually make that the only group (sorry DBSK) that i happen to like EVERY member.
they are sexy without being trashy *coughHyunacough*, fierce without trying *cough2NE1cough* and they don’t do super-aegyo-that-makes-me-puke *coughSNSDcough*. they are the PERFECT girl group for me.
i like them all but my favorite would have to be Fei. sexy, classy, beautiful Fei. she exudes sex appeal without even trying.
Jia has such a strong presence but not too much that it borders on intimidating ala CL. CL is amazing on stage but sometimes she gets too intimidating.
i LOVE Min’s voice. she is tiny but she exudes presence. and girl can dance too.
and of course we have Suzy (hello, namesake!) who has that i-do-eagyo-but-i-also-do-ice-princess look.
and really, it’s miss A. what’s not to like?
Well, I have several groups where I like every single member, and Miss A is definitely one of them, all the members are great.
While I get what you’re saying about those other girls, I really do like those a lot too. I don’t mind it being a little over the top, as long as it’s entertaining.
