Balibago to Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay Road

This route is the one I’m most familiar with since I go through here 5 times a week, it starts from Balibago Complex which is a terminal for Jeeps, Buses and Trics. Balibago is where you can find Target mall which is a local mall in the area and one of the two local wet markets. If you are going by jeepney, you should go behind the wet market which is in front of target mall and that is where you’ll find the jeepney terminal. You should ride the jeep with tagaytay written on the windshields or wait for own under the tarpaulin that reads Balibago-Tagaytay. You might wait a couple of minutes for the jeep to be full and you have to know where your going because when the jeepney is full, you will be asked to pay first before the jeep goes.

From Balibago, the first important place your gonna see is Walter Mart, a local Supermarket and being a supermarket isn’t the only thing that makes it special. You see there’s a road besides Walter Mart and that road lead to the famous Enchanted Kingdom. Since most people ask about EK, I’ll tell you how. First is to ride the jeepney from Balibago and get off in front of walter mart, it will only cost P8 via jeepney and tric that is on-special and P30 special tric. From Walter, ride a tric, it’s easy since there’s a line of trics beside Walter Mart. Just tell the driver EK and he’ll get you there, the fee is P8 for non-special and P30 for special. There are no jeepneys that go through there so trics are your only option.

Going past Walter Mart, next will be El Cielito hotel on the right. It will cost P9 via jeep, P10 via tric (non-special) P60 (special). After Elcielito is Laguna Bel Air. BelAir is a subdivision, it’s not really that hard to find since it has a medium sized sign outside and You can’t miss the McDonald’s that is in front of it. It is P10 via jeep and non-special Tric and P80 special tric. In all of Sta. Rosa, I have seen only three stoplights and they are all intersection next to each other. First is the intersection in BelAir and going further which lead to an intersection that leads to Technopark hotel then after that will be the intersection at Paseo.

After BelAir will be Paseo, this is where you would normally hangout with friends and enjoy the day. It’s a famous stop over for people going to tagaytay, here is where they refill gas, get snacks and buy other things. It consists of one of the two local wetmarkets in the area. In front of Paseo is the newly constructed South Supermarket.

Pass Paseo is the newly and still developing Nuvali, it is a sight to see, with it’s man-made lake and green scenery. There are already establishment of Restaurants and a Convergy’s building. A Bazaar is a normal occurrence in Nuvali. Next to Nuvali is Solenad, a mall like establishment and is also a part of he ayala project. A robinsons supermarket is situated on the far right side of Solenad. You can go to Nuvali via jeepney and Tric non-special for P25 and it would not be recommended to use a special tric since it can cost more than P100. P15 if your from BelAir via jeepney and non-special tric. P8 from Paseo via jeepney and non special tric, P30 if special tric.

At the intersection in Paseo, you can turn right to enter Technopark. Here is where you will find Subdivisions on the left and Multinational Corporations on the right. No jeepney goes through here so you can only use a tricycle. A boundary between Sta. Rosa and Binan can be found here and that boundary is a bridge, once you cross it, your in binan. Going by tric will cost you P10 if you came from Paseo if its not special, P30 if special. If your from balibago, it is P20 and if your from BelAir, it will coast you P15. Again it is not recommended to use a special tric since its very expensive.
