Meet Heidi Walker

COO, Salt Lake Chamber
Heidi Walker is a visionary team leader who brings more than 20 years of professional management experience to her role as COO of the Salt Lake Chamber. She is oversees a multi-million dollar operations budget and is responsible for the day-to-day administration and strategic planning for Utah’s largest and oldest business association.

Heidi also oversees Chamber programs and departments including: Events and Programs, Public Policy, Membership, Communications, etc. She also provides leadership support for the Chamber’s strategic partners The Downtown Alliance and World Trade Center Utah. She is a prolific fundraiser and expert in nonprofit management. 

She previously held several key, high-level management positions at the Salt Lake Chamber, including seven years as vice president. Heidi left the Chamber for three years to work in the nation’s capital as vice president of operations for AMG-Inc., the leading association management company headquartered in Washington, D.C. She concurrently served as the executive director of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation.

A gifted and empathic community leader, Heidi helps to guide other local organizations through service on the boards of the United Way, Women’s Leadership Institute, Days of 47 Rodeo, Women’s Business Center, Utah State Chamber Association, and the American Chamber of Commerce.

When she isn’t working to build Utah’s economy, she enjoys wakeboarding and travel with her husband and three daughters. She is also a proud Italophile and loves to celebrate the culture, food and gracious living of Italy.
