Pitching matchups and start times following Friday’s rainout: RHP Carlos Carrasco (0-0, 4.50) vs. RHP Clarke Schmidt (0-0, 4.66) on Saturday at 12:10 p.m.; RHP Triston McKenzie (1-1, 4.00) vs. RHP Cody Poteet (1st start) on Saturday at 6:10 p.m. and LHP Logan Allen (2-0, 4.60) vs. LHP Nestor Cortes (1-1, 3.50) Sunday at 1:40 p.m.

Yankees update: They have the best record in the big leagues at 10-3. Juan Soto is hitting .360 with two homers and a team-high 12 RBI. Giancarlo Stanton leads the Yankees with four homers. Schmidt had two no decisions against Cleveland last year.
Guardians update: They rank second in the AL with 69 runs. It’s the first time they’ve opened the season with four straight series wins since 2002. Steven Kwan has eight multi-hit games for the 9-3 Guards. Carrasco is 1-3 with a 3.86 ERA in his last five starts against the Yankees.
Injuries: Yankees: INF DJ LeMahieu (right foot), RHP Tommy Kahle (right shoulder), INF Oswaldo Perez (right shoulder), RHP McKinley Moore (right knee), RHP Gerrit Cole (right elbow), RHP Jonathan Loaisiga (right elbow), OF Jason Dominguez (right elbow), RHP Lou Trivino (right elbow) and RHP Scott Effros (right elbow, back) are on the injured list.
Guardians: RHP Shane Bieber (right elbow), RHP Gavin Williams (right elbow), RHP Trevor Stephan (right elbow), RHP Xzavion Curry (viral infection), RHP Ben Lively (viral infection), RHP James Karinchak (right shoulder) LHP Sam Hentges (left middle finger) and INF Angel Martinez (right foot) are on the injured list.
