“Maja Blanca is a dessert adapted from Spanish Manjar Blanco, it’s a hard gelatin based on coconut milk and cornstarch”

Ingredients:

  • Coconut milk – 800 ml (27.05 fl.oz.)
  • Fresh milk – 2 cups
  • Glutinous rice flour – 1 cup
  • Cornstarch – 1 cup
  • Icing sugar – 1 1/2 cup
  • Coconut flour – 1 cup
  • Macapuno – 1 cup
  • Ube extract – 1 tsp.

Directions:

  1. Bring to a boil the coconut milk over a medium low heat.
  2. Add 1 cup of icing sugar, Ube extract and stir constantly for 10 minutes.
  3. Dissolve the cornstarch and rice flour in the milk.
  4. Add gradually to the coconut until well combined.
  5. Add the Macapuno strips and simmer until desired thickness.
  6. Pour the maja blanca into a serving layer.
  7. Aside, mix the coconut flour with 1/2 cup of icing sugar.
  8. Heat a non-stick pan over a high heat and toast the sweetened coconut flour until slightly golden.
  9. Top the maja blanca with the coconut and chill overnight in the refrigerator.

  1. HI! I think the one your referring is what we called dessicated coconut... the one we used to make macaroons.. (pls correct me if im wrong) Love all your videos.. watch most of them now and its already 2:30 in the morning and I still keep on looking at them. Ive seen your video accidently but I find it very cute, u always makes me smile and laugh for you being a natural bisaya pinay (proud to be!- cheers) Hope u can post stir-fried vegetables and chicken (health concious) in quick cooking... i really want to cook but me as a working student and all alone its very hard for me to cook time consuming and bulk amount. I will try later your tocino (just need to make adjustment for its only for myself) thanks peachy! Keep it up - Bon appetite from Paris! Cholo Post Script really wanted to see the person behind the voice who always correct you everytime u make an error :) eq for your chicken tocino u said ginger powder he said garlic powder
