Derek Ramsay revealed a very difficult breakup he went through in the past. On Gandang Gabi Vice, Derek explained how difficult it was when he ended his four-year relationship with Solenn Heusaff. “There was a girl that I actually broke my own heart for,” the actor revealed.
Derek said that breaking up with Solenn was one of the hardest decisions he had to make. “It was just not the right time and I made decisions that broke my heart. Nakipag-break ako, and in the process I broke my heart doing it. I mean, mahal na mahal ko siya ‘nun, pero sometimes it’s just not enough. Parang merong nangyayari sa relationship na, I guess, sobra kayong nagmamahalan na sometimes you bring the worst out of each other. So for me, it was too much turmoil [and I] had to get out.”
Vice Ganda then ended the interview with this loaded question, “Ikaw nakipaghiwalay kahit na alam mong ikasasakit ‘yan ng puso mo?”
To which Derek boldly replied, “Kahit na alam kong mahal na mahal na mahal ko siya.”
