Optical illusions are a fun way to test your vision, but the latest viral image is all about what's revealed when the illusion gets a bit fuzzy.
Rather than asking people to use their razor sharp eyes, the optical illusion asks people who are near sighted to search the image. The result is what users on X have dubbed 'creepy' and 'trippy'.
You'll see an innocent looking image of two girls sitting side-by-side, but if your eyes are out of focus, you may get a fright when a hidden face makes itself apparent.
As reported by the Mirror, the caption read: "Nearsighted fam: take your glasses off and pull your phone away from your eyes. Look at the blonde girl."
The image has baffled people online who have struggled to see the surprise optical illusion. If you have perfect vision, it may help to squint and move the image further away.
If you do what the tweet says, the blonde girl's face and torso turns into a creepy image of a stony-faced woman. The woman's sunken eyes are embedded within the girl's wavy hair and neck whilst her nose, mouth and chin are hidden in the folds of her jumper.
One person said: "Thanks I hate it (For normal ppl just blur your eyes)", whilst another added: "Freaked me out!"
If you're not able to see the optical illusion, one user edited the image and blurred to reveal the creepy image to those with perfect vision.
Another person said: "Freaked me out!", while one added: "That was unexpected. Very cool."
A third replied: "Trippy!" and while another person with good vision was able to see the image: "I’ve got lasiked eyes but I squinted my way to it and wow"
Someone else jokingly asked: "For those of us with eagle eyes, what are you mole people seeing?"
