38th EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary On this day, we honor and commemorate the people who fought for the Philippines democracy. On February 25, 1986, the EDSA People Power Revolution took place ending the dictatorship and violence under the administration of former president Ferdinand Marcos Sr.. This celebration serves as a strong reminder that with unity, cooperation and faith, there is nothing that we cannot collectively achieve for the greater good of our country.

Today was my first exposure to the Turquoise Harmony Institute Turquoise Harmony Institue. I engaged in watching a movie exposing the hardship and trauma associated with displaced/refugee persons. The slogan and brief background of the organisation is as follows: “So we may know one another” - Turquoise Harmony Institute (THI) was established in 2006 as Interfaith Foundation of South Africa and was renamed in 2009. Since its establishment, THI has been pursuing the goal of strengthening dialogue and tolerance among people who come from different backgrounds. We strongly believe that the future of humanity should be built on a culture of coexistence, dialogue and tolerance.
