Despite the last-minute cancellation of Kristel Fulgar as the event host, Filipino Heartriders still had a great time at South Korean heartthrob Seo In Guk's first-ever fan meet in the country.
Organized by EPIC Events, In Guk staged his eponymous fan meet Seo In Guk 1st Asia Fan Meeting Tour in Manila on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
In Guk showcased several of his songs and enjoyed a close and personal interaction with his fans at what could be considered one of the lengthiest and most immersive fan- meet events, spanning approximately three hours.

SEO IN GUK'S PERFORMANCES
In Guk, a singer-songwriter as well as an actor, had an array of song numbers ready for his dedicated fans.
He opened the fan meet by serenading the crowd with a performance of his 2022 song titled "My Love."

Fans also waved their light sticks with unwavering enthusiasm as In Guk delivered a captivating rendition of his 2021 track "Tease Me." In Guk continued the excitement with his performance of the song "Shake it Up."
One of the standout moments of the night was In Guk's rendition of Yeng Constantino's "Ikaw." Following the performance, In Guk candidly shared that delivering this song was quite a challenge due to its intricate melody.

In Guk also ignited the audience with his energetic rendition of his 2011 hit, "Luv U."
A wave of excitement swept through the crowd when In Guk stepped onto the stage to deliver a performance of "All For You," from the official soundtrack of the South Korean drama series Reply 1997.
SEO IN GUK LEARNS TAGALOG
Aside from performances, In Guk also made an effort to learn Filipino words.
In addition to the customary phrases like "Salamat po," fans were taken aback when In Guk confidently uttered a full sentence in Filipino.
During the opening segment, he warmly addressed his fans, saying, "Kamusta kayong mga bebe ko? Na-miss niyo ba ako? Na-miss ko kayo!"
Louder cheers filled the venue when he repeated the line "Kamusta kayong mga bebe ko?" in a lower, sexier tone.

SEO IN GUK: TRIVIA
At the Q&A sessions of the fan meet, Filipino Heartriders learned new things about In Guk. It turned out that he once attended a friend's wedding and kept his promise to sing a song for the occasion, even though he had made that promise while drunk.
Despite this, In Guk made sure to keep his word.
It was also during this segment when In Guk openly expressed his desire to take on more villainous roles following his portrayal of one in the 2022 film Project Wolf Hunting.
With the help of a translator, he said, "The more I continue my acting career, the passion gets bigger and bigger. 'Cause last year, I wanted to be a villain.
"But ever since I tried in Project Wolf Hunting as a villain, I want to try more various types of villain for my up coming films.
"For example, having superpowers... But having meaningless superpowers. For example, my superpower is that my nails grow faster. Something like that."
Given his aspiration to embrace more villainous roles, In Guk was asked whether or not he sees himself as a "bad boy."
With a playful grin, he retorted, "Yes, I am a bad boy... a really dangerous man."
In this part of the event, In Guk also revealed what his fans can anticipate in the coming days.
"I'm currently filming a series called Death's Game, which is based on a webtoon series in Korea, which will be released this coming December.
"And for the new album, I'm trying to prepare as soon as possible so I can come back quick."
SEO IN GUK: ACTIVITIES AND FAN INTERACTIONS
In one segment of the show, In Guk selected five fortunate fans, from an initial list of 10 chosen fans, whose Outfits of the Day (OOTDs) caught his eye.
Remarkably, four out of the five finalists In Guk selected had journeyed to the country from places like Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea, exclusively to partake in his fan meet.
Ultimately, a Filipino fan named "Jessica" emerged triumphant.
In Guk warmly embraced Jessica with a congratulatory back hug as she was announced as the winner.
As part of her reward, Jessica was granted the opportunity to embrace In Guk in return and take cherished photos with her idol.
Another highlight of the event was when In Guk showcased his kitchen know-how by crafting his own version of the beloved Filipino dessert halo-halo.
In Guk prepared his cup of halo halo by putting crushed ice first, and subsequently layering it with ube halaya, kaong, and nata de coco.
As a final touch to his delectable Filipino dessert, he added a scoop of ube ice cream, along with a sprinkle of sugar and lots of milk. In Guk sampled his own creation and was satisfied with the outcome.
Aside from this segment, several attendees of the fan meet were also fortunate to have a one-on-one with In Guk and receive meaningful life advice directly from him.
Meanwhile, a select group of lucky individuals had the chance to participate in intimate game sessions with him.
FILIPINO HEARTRIDER'S FAN PROJECT
Prior to the conclusion of his fan gathering, Seo In Guk was pleasantly surprised with a video greeting from his devoted Filo Heartriders.
As an additional element of the surprise, the fans joined in singing his track, "Seasons of the Heart," while raising their illuminated lightsticks and banners in unison.
MAKING A PROMISE
As the event neared its conclusion, In Guk took advantage of the remaining time to share a poem he had penned and express his deep gratitude for the unwavering support of his beloved fans.
He said, "It's my first time to meet every one of you. Thank you for the love and support you've been giving me.
"Finally meeting you and having these memories together makes me so happy.
"We were able to make good memories today... And I hope we can make more in the future. Thank you for giving me this special memory that I can treasure."
Towards the end of his message, In Guk promised to his Filipino fans, "I will try my best to come back soon. Maraming salamat po. Mahal ko kayo."
Wrapping up the event with his final performance, In Guk took the stage and enthralled the crowd with "My Baby U," as fans joyfully joined in, singing along.
