It seems that all roads lead to San Beda.

After securing the commitments of three San Beda Red Cubs who won a championship in the juniors' division in Season 95 of the NCAA, San Beda Red Lions Head Coach Boyet Fernandez's decision making in terms of who will make up the line-up of the Red Lions for Season 96 will be a bit difficult as another member of the Red Cubs opted to stay put in San Beda. This will come out as a happy problem for the multi-titled coach.

Yukien Andrada, the brother of Yutien Andrada who played for the De La Salle Green Archers in the UAAP a few years back.

With this development that was confirmed by San Beda's team manager, Jude Roque, Yutien Andrada will join fellow Red Cub products Rhayyan Amasali, Justine Sanchez, and Tony Ynot- a known defender in the juniors' division. Standing at 6-foot-5, Andrada's addition to the seniors' team of San Beda will give Coach Boyet Fernandez a flexible player who can use his height advantage down low and make those threes. Aside from his 13-point and 8-rebound averages in his senior year with the Red Cubs, he shot 43% from the three-point line and for a big guy who can shoot that good from three, he could play a vital part in the Red Lions' campaign to regain the crown which they lost to the Letran Knights after a 3-game slugfest in last year's NCAA Finals.

But the biggest asset Yukein Andrada has which could help in his collegiate career?
His vast experience playing in various international competitions playing for Gilas youth team with the most recent one being during the 2018 FIBA Under-17 Asian Championship.

Yukien Andrada nabbed the Most Improved Player and was also included in the Mythical 5 of the juniors’ division alongside eventual MVP, Justine Sanchez. If anything, the numbers and the awards are an indication that Yutien Andrada is already a winning player in high school and with a winning tradition in San Beda, it’s likely that he will continue to win in college too.
