Weird stuff happens on subway cars all the time. But this is definitely one of the weirder of the weird.
Joe DeMarini was traveling on the metro in Singapore recently when he was approached by a gentleman at least 40 years his senior demanding he have sex with him… tonight!
“I was with a friend and he approached me–drunk–and said he was gay, and that he wanted to f*ck me. He said, ‘I know you’re gay, so let’s f*ck,'” DeMarini writes in a Facebook post.
For the record, DeMarini, who’s from Pennsylvania, identifies as straight, though he says he’s often mistaken for being LGBTQ, which doesn’t exactly bother him, but it can be a nuisance at times.

“I don’t exactly fit the ‘masculine’ mold of society, so oftentimes I am mistaken as queer,” DeMarini writes. “For example, I’ve caught flak for carrying a ‘man purse.'”
When the man approached him on the subway car, DeMarini tried to keep his cool, despite the guy repeatedly saying “You’re a f*cking gay. I’m a gay. … I’m your friend. I want you to f*ck me tonight!”
Someone ought to tell this dude he needs to work on his approach.
When DeMarini turned down the man’s advances, the belligerent stranger proceeded to swat at him. When other passengers stepped in to intervene, the man tried flipping the script by claiming it was DeMarini who had come onto him.
The whole thing is truly bizarre.

Been there before. A few times in fact. I remember being in my mid twenties, alone the bus coming home from work at 4 in the morning. The only other person on the bus was a deaf guy who was oddly cute but I’m sure he was drunk or high. He was sitting across from me. He kept grabbing his crotch. I tried to ignore him by looking out the window. He eventually sat next to me and dry humped me. I kept politely signing “No thanks”. But he persisted with the dry humping for a couple minutes before re-treating back to his seat. And of course the bus driver pretended they saw nothing the whole time.

“Straight” Right…. That guy couldn’t pass for straight if he tried. He’s got the gay voice as well. It’s ok, I’ve known guys like him who swore up and down that they were just feminine and were straight only years later to come out. I knew one poor guy who didn’t come out until 2 years after graduating college, and he was just like that dude saying he was straight and just was feminine. I can’t tell you how many feminine guys I’ve known who swore that they were straight only to come out as gay. Every single one that raised my gaydar alert but swore they were straight later came out as gay. There is a science to a gaydar. It’s not about feminism, that’s a cop out. Well I hope he comes to accept himself, but despite his obvious sexuality that does not give the other man the right to harass him,

Gay or not, inappropriate is inappropriate. Once it got physical, the victim was within his rights to defend himself. Drunk is no excuse. The older gentleman was lucky he left the scene intact.

I’m so happy about the woman and man who stepped in to help instead of just standing by and letting a verbal and physical assault happened. “No” means NO whether you’re gay or straight.
Even if the kids were gay, he’s not obligated to sleep with some sloppy queen that hit on him.
