How To Cook Turbo Broiler Chicken

Cooking turbo broiler chicken is as easy as 1-2-3! First, make the marinade: in a bowl, mix Knorr liquid seasoning (available here), soy sauce, garlic, calamansi, salt and pepper. Then, add the marinade to the chicken, poking small holes all over to make sure that the marinade seeps through. Marinate for at least one hour or, for best results, overnight.

When ready to cook, set the turbo broiler to 180 degrees C and broil for 40 minutes or until the skin of the chicken is golden brown. Serve immediately.

Tips To Make Easy Turbo Broiler Chicken

1. Let the chicken marinate for at least an hour.

Marinating the chicken is the most work you’ll need to put in to making this delicious chicken dish, and it’s the most important! You can do this in advance and let the chicken marinate overnight in the refrigerator. Just make sure to turn the chicken at least once halfway through to let the marinade coat the chicken evenly.

2. You can use cut-up chicken parts instead of a whole chicken to cook it faster.

The bigger the chicken, the longer it will take to cook. In case you’re in a hurry or simply prefer a specific part of the chicken, you can easily replace the whole chicken with your favorite part. Or, you can also cut up the chicken into pieces or ask your butcher to do so. This tip also works well if your turbo broiler isn’t big enough for a whole chicken.

3. No turbo broiler? No problem. You can use an air fryer or your oven instead.

Though there are some differences between an air fryer and a turbo broiler, they both work the same way: by circulating hot air in a particular space. If you have neither but do have an oven with a convection fan or a convection function, you can also simulate the same cooking method!

Turbo Broiler Chicken Storage Tips

1. Refrigerate leftover turbo broiler chicken.

Make sure to store leftover turbo broiler chicken in an airtight container when storing it in the refrigerator. Storing it in the refrigerator without an airtight container may cause the chicken to dry out, especially when you reheat it.

2. You can freeze turbo broiler chicken two ways.

Leftover turbo broiler chicken can be frozen for longer storage; all you’ll need to do when you want to eat is is let it thaw and broil it again to get the skin crispy (otherwise, you can pop it in the microwave; however, the skin will stay soft). You can also marinate the chicken in advance and then freeze it, and only thaw it when you’re ready to cook it!
