The Manila-Bataan Ferry Now Sails Morning to Night
Travel time is just an hour!
(SPOT.ph) When the ferry from Manila to Bataan began operating in December 2017, traveling to the eco-tourism destination became easier than ever. Drop-off point is in the busy town of Orion, but free shuttle rides are readily available at the port for those going to other municipalities like Limay, Pilar, and Samal. It was made even better for beach-lovers as the service added a new route direct to the white-sand beaches of Mariveles in May 2018. This year, 1Bataan Integrated Transport launches their evening trips starting on January 7—for the route from Manila to Orion, the departure time is 6 p.m., while the service from Orion to Manila leaves at 7:45 p.m.
This night trip schedule is on top of the daily departure times at 6:30 a.m., 10 a.m., and 1:30 p.m. from Manila; and at 8:15 a.m., 11:45 a.m., and 3:15 p.m. from Orion. Daily trips from Manila to Mariveles were temporarily suspended in late 2018, but are expected to return by January 14.
Ports are at the Esplanade Seaside Terminal in Pasay City (behind Mall of Asia and beside Vikings Luxury Buffet), Capinpin Port in Orion, and FAB Town Terminal in Mariveles (beside the district hospital). One-way fare is at P450 through online booking.
