When can my receiver collect the funds in the Philippines?

Funds are usually available to collect within a few minutes. The estimated time for collection depends on branch operating hours. We may also require further information from you to comply with our regulatory requirements before processing the transfer. If so, we will email you promptly.

How much can I send for cash pickups to the Philippines?

The maximum amount (per transfer) which you can send depends on the network. Please see below for more info:

Metrobank, Pera Hub and PSBank network:

  • Metrobank: A maximum of PHP 500,000 per transfer; USD cash payout transfer limit depends on the send country and payment method.

  • Pera Hub: A maximum of PHP 100,000 per transfer 

  • PSBank: A maximum of PHP 250,000 per transfer

Branches of BDO Unibank, BDO Remit in SM Malls (Department Store, Business Services, Savemore, Hypermarket, Supermarket, Waltermart Malls, Servicio) RD Pawnshop, Villarica Pawnshop: The limit depends on your send country and payment method

Branches of M. Lhuillier: A maximum of PHP 250,000 per PHP payout transfer and USD 1,500 per USD payout transfer

Branches of Palawan Pawnshop and Palawan Express Pera Padala agent locations: A maximum of PHP 100,000 per PHP payout transfer

Branches of Cebuana Lhuillier agent locations: A maximum of PHP 50,000 per transfer

There are no daily, weekly or monthly cumulative limits. However please be aware that high-value transfers, including multiple low-value transfers over a short time period, may be delayed while the required compliance documents are gathered and verified.

There may be lower limits depending on the country where you are sending from and the payment method used to fund the transfer. Please see the relevant section in Payments for more info.

What information do I need from my recipient to pick up cash in the Philippines?

  • Full name. Please enter your recipient’s full legal name. It must match their valid, government-issued photo ID for them to successfully collect their funds.

  • Address. We need to know your recipient's address, and specifically the city in which your recipient lives.

  • Mobile number. We use this to send an SMS notification to your recipient with the transfer reference number which they will need in order to collect the funds. We will also inform them when their funds are ready to be collected.

  • Email (optional). We use this to email your recipient with details of the transfer. This is particularly useful in case they have issues receiving the SMS notifications.

  • Sending reason. Please indicate whether it is “family or friend support,” “purchase of services,” “property payment,” or “sending funds to self”.

Please ensure that all your recipient’s details are correct. Once you make your transfer, it is difficult for us to amend or stop the transfer, although we will always try our best to do so.


What should my recipient show when collecting funds in the Philippines?

Branches of Metrobank, Pera Hub and PSBank:

  1. Valid photo ID. At Metrobank locations, this must be two valid government-issued IDs, such as a passport, Philippine driver’s license, Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) ID, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) ID, Police Clearance, Postal ID, Voter’s ID, Barangay Certification, Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) e-Card, Social Security System (SSS) ID, Senior Citizen Card, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) ID, OFW ID, Seaman’s Book, Alien Certification of Registration/Immigrant Certificate of Registration, Government Office and GOCC ID, NCWDP ID, DWSD ID, IBP ID, or Company IDs issued by Private Entities registered with BSP, SEC, or IC. At all other locations, one government-issued ID is required.

  2. If claiming cash via Metrobank’s branches, Quote “WorldRemit”, while if pay out is via Pera Hub and PSBank branches, Quote “Metrobank” and then provide the 8-digit transfer reference number. We will notify you and your recipient by email and SMS when funds are ready to be collected and send a transfer reference number.

Branches of BDO Unibank, BDO Network Bank, BDO Remit (SM Department Stores, Business Services, Savemore, Hypermarket, Supermarket, Waltermart, Servicio), Villarica, RD:

  1. Valid photo ID. We will notify you and your recipient by email and SMS when funds are ready to be collected and send a transfer reference number.

Branches of M. Lhuillier, Cebuana, Palawan Pawnshop and Palawan Express Pera Padala Agent locations:

  1. Valid photo ID.
