When we think of Sex and the City, many classic style moments come to mind — stuff like Manolo Blahnik heels, Carrie’s wedding dress, and Charlotte’s penchant for pink. But the most influential moment is probably Carrie’s white tutu and pink tank from the opening credit sequence of the hit show.

Yesterday, Sarah Jessica Parker hit up the Intimissimi grand opening event in New York City looking like the goth version of that legendary pink and white frock.

Parker is like the black swan version of Bradshaw’s good swan? Wait, what’s the opposite of a black swan? Eh, over it.

This Oscar de la Renta frock perfectly suits SJP, though Bradshaw totally would have rocked it as well, seeing as her onscreen persona was quite obsessed with tulle.

We wonder if SJP tires of the Carrie Bradshaw comparisons? Although she’s known for being a style icon outside the show, she did tell Glamour over the summer that she’s actually not a big fan of shopping.

“I’m actually not the shopper that people think I am,” Parker told Glamour. “I was probably much more profligate when I was younger, but I never was the sort of fevered shopper like Carrie Bradshaw.”

Despite the clear separation of art and artist, we think Parker has a fondness for her onscreen persona. When Parker debuted a collection of little black dresses for her SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker label, she named a tulle party dress “Title,” because it was inspired by the title sequence of the show.

Actually, THAT dress is the real goth version of the white tulle frock. Sadly, it’s sold out.
