Kim Kardashian West is understandably shaken up after being bound, gagged and robbed at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room Sunday night.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was "badly shaken but physically unharmed," her rep told E! News. Unfortunately the masked gunmen are still at large, and while they didn't hurt Kim, they did make out with one of her rings, worth an estimated $4.9 million, as well as a jewelry box, worth an estimated $5.6 million.
It was just last month that Kanye West gave Kim a 20-carat emerald cut diamond ring from Lorraine Schwartz. According to the jewelry designer's Instagram page, this bling is D-Flawless and type 2A (the rarest and most valuable type of diamond) just like her engagement ring.
It was back in November 2013 that Kanye proposed to Kim with a 15-carat Lorraine Schwartz sparkler. Celebrity jewelry expert Michael O'Connor told E! News at the time the conflict-free diamond was likely worth somewhere in the $2.5 to $3 million range.
Lorraine Schwartz Instagrammed a video three weeks ago showing both of Kim's D-Flawless rings—one on each hand. Fans were quick to point out the striking similarities between the super sized sparklers.
Kim also showcased her newest ring in a recent selfie and had been wearing different pieces of jewelry to varying fashion shows throughout Paris Fashion Week.
It's unknown which specific items were stolen during Sunday's robbery, but Kim has a sizable jewelry collection of her own and is also lent pieces to wear by designers. She oftentimes showcases these pieces on social media. Back in 2013, for example, she Instagrammed her Juste Un Clou gold bangle (which goes for $34,650, per MTV News) as well as three gold and diamond cuffs from the Panthère collection, and the Love Bracelet.
Back in 2011, Kim paid $65,000 at auction for three jade and diamond bracelets that formerly belonged to Elizabeth Taylor.
Kim wore a pair of Martin Katz's Tobey diamond stud earrings when she said "I do" in 2014. The earrings, which were a gift from Kanye, featured two large diamonds surrounded by 100-tiny diamonds and set in 18k white gold.
Regardless of what was specifically stolen from Kim's room Sunday, we're all glad she wasn't harmed physically. The finest of jewels can be replaced, but there's no value on a human life.
"All of us at E! are incredibly thankful that Kim Kardashian West is safe, and we send her and her family our love and support," read an official network statement Monday. "Keeping Up with the Kardashians was not filming at the time of the robbery. Our focus right now is entirely on Kim's well-being."
