Take Singapore. All the Chinese brands existed there. Guess the top brands, Apple (30%) and Samsung (20%). Xiaomi, OPPO, etc are only single digit marketshare.

the US is a lost cause...they buy anything from apple...literally anything

Even if all people buy iPhone in my city. Me? Never ever. Only Samsung. Phones are for enjoying and not for status symbol.

Huawei and ZTE were competing (and winning) with the western companies like Ericsson and Cisco. Many Asian and EU countries were going to contract Huawei or ZTE for their 5G infrastructure. US didn't like that, hence the ban. Huawei got severely affected because other tech companies were banned to do business with Huawei, including Google and Qualcomm. As such, their phone business got affected.

You do not need a good device to become apple, you need to be greedy and invest a lot in marketing, spreading lies about other tech and obnoxiously stepping on small businesses. Apple was 3 times in front of bankruptcy and learned nothing from it, microsoft saving them each time from it, (not out of microsoft goodness but out of circumventing monopoly). Yet i still find microsoft to be less garbage then apple. Apple just showed who they really are when they get in power, sad outcome. Not everybody is made for leading, and apple is definetly not the leading type, more like that dictator that smiles while stealing your tech and take your business to the grave. They never innovated and always waited for other to do it, so they can take it. Never took risks, never did nothing impresive. They never lead the tech, they lead the sales, a multimillionare bully ah.

Huawei was forecasted like that in 2019. If the spying is no big deal, why US make exception for Huawei without hard-proof. I suspect, exynos was prohibited with similar reason.

And but of course, especially google theres no way it doesnt spying on people especially android user with its tons of bloatware from google
But lets not forget, even facebook blatantly proven to spied on its user data and even sold them and they feign ignorance
And of course the chinese arent exception since even their government controlling everything its subject doing

Huawei was able to get carrier contracts for their phones until the US banned carriers from selling Huawei phones. Without carrier contracts, it is very difficult to break into the US market and the US government can at any time step in and ban carriers from stocking your phones. No Chinese vendor is going to negotiate with US carriers if they'll just end up getting banned from selling their phones.

OnePlus is a tiny brand with miniscule market share. If Oppo, Vivo or Xiaomi started selling phones in the US, expect them to be banned by the US for threatening iPhone market share.

Oneplus/Oppo is there but not doing very well. If Oneplus/Oppo can sell there, then there is nothing stopping most other Chinese brands except Huawei of course. The US market is just not worth it for them as they also have the headache of dealing with carriers. Asian markets are larger and have less entry barriers so they make more commercial sense

You all blame on the US ban when chinese phones plummeted but you all forgot that the likes of oppo was banned in europe because they violated patent rights of nokia
