Twenty Years After - continuing the Musketeer saga.
Timothy· Review provided by booksamillion.com · January 26, 2021
This is the 3rd book of the Three Musketeers saga by Dumas in a new translation by Lawrence Ellsworth. This volume continues the story of the Musketeers 20 years after they saved the Queen of France from Cardinal Richelieu's plot to discredit her and Lord Buckingham. A new Cardinal is in power manipulating the Queen and her son, the king is a young boy 10 years old. The populace is struggling under the tax burden from the crown and beginning to rebel. In this environment the Musketeers who haven't seen each other in 20 years, join forces as they have to combat ripples from their past actions that threaten France.

I have been enjoying read. While a novel from the 1800's it is easy to read and very enjoyable.
