Heartbreak for Brazilian supermodels Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima as their home team crash out of the World Cup in crushing 7-1 defeat
Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima were two extremely proud yet disappointed Brazilians
on Tuesday.
The Victoria's Secret models once again showed their support for their native homeland as they
got all dressed up in their yellow and green jerseys to watch the nail-biting semi-final match
between Brazil and Germany in the FIFA World Cup.
But sadly, their effort wasn't rewarded, with the tournament's host nation bowing out of the competition with a humiliating 7-1 loss against their rivals.

Indeed, the women couldn't have looked any more tense and angry as they watched the defeat take place in front of their eyes as they hit Miss Lily's bar in New York's East Village.
They even roped in fellow VS Angel Lily Aldridge to help cheer on their team, though it wasn't enough to change the outcome.
Proudly wearing their jerseys, which sported the number 2 and the name 'Lims' on the back of Adriana's and 10 and 'Alé' on Alessandra's, the pair couldn't have looked more patriotic if they tried.
On the edge of her seat: Alessandra was heard loudly cheering and screaming as the tense competition got underway, with the supermodels watching at a bar in New York's East Village
A kiss for good luck! The 33-year-old clutched a Brazilian flag and even kissed it with her eyes closed as she seemingly prayed for her team to win - though sadly they lost in a crushing 7-1 defeat

Things got particularly heated during the game, with the ladies seen screaming and yelling at the
TV screen as their beloved homeland went down in a blaze of glory.
Alessandra was even seen clutching a Brazilian flag during the telecast, kissing it and holding it up
in the air as the tension mounted.
Support system: The mother-of-two took to Miss Lily's with a group of pals to watch the game, joined by her fellow Victoria's Secret Angels

They of course took to Instagram throughout the day, sharing photos with fans of their antics.
One happy snap showed the pair from behind, sitting on stools, holding each other's hand.
'Come on Brasil. No matter what u are all the best,' Alessandra captioned the image.
The pair were in good company, surrounded by plenty of fellow supporters, many of whom also sported their team's colourful jersey.

Lily, however, looked more than a little out of her element as she took in the game looking her usual stylish self in a classic ensemble.
The 28-year-old Californian opted for skinny dark blue jeans and a white blouse, while she carried
a pristine cream handbag.
Once the match ended, the women all spilled out onto the street, donning aviators over their eyes
to hide their disappointment at the shocking defeat.

Adriana and Alessandra appeared in need of something to calm their nerves following the high-intensity bout, with both lighting up cigarettes as they chatted with pals, including Lily's husband, Kings Of Leon front man Caleb Followill, who has just wrapped the European leg of his world tour.
Meanwhile, one very happy German model couldn't believe the outcome either.
Heidi Klum was gobsmacked as her beloved team toppled their opponents so easily.

In the image, she is covering her eyes with both hands as she stands with a huge grin plastered from ear to ear, seemingly overwhelmed by the turn of events.
She's also clad in denim shorts, paired with a black T-shirt with Deutschland emblazoned across the chest in large white letters.
